In September 2007 professional Russian violinist Maria Nauen founded the Beijing International Orchestra (BIO) as an intercultural project to bring talented professional and amateur musicians of all nationalities together.

The orchestra became very fast popular and loved for Beijing audience as the Beijing International Chamber Orchestra (BICO) under leading and conducting by professional Russian violinist Maria Nauen, according collaboration with Beijing Playhouse, Art For Life, Under Broadway, foreign embassies and Beijing international communities. During last year BICO performed several successful concerts, as Charity Concert for the victims of earthquake in Sichuan Province, several concerts for Eton,Beijing City International and German Embassy’s Schools, performances for foreign embassies.

About 30 professional and amateur musicians from various countries such as Russia, China, Georgia, Germany, Switzerland, France, Canada, Belgium, Korea, Hungary, England and USA join the Orchestra and looking for new friends, music lovers like us! All professional and amateur musicians of all nationalities are warmly welcome!
