"Art Tour in Brussels – Contemporary China/ Heavenly Lantern - Tea Palace" is part of Wenda Gu's heavenly Lantern series. She inherits the idea of the Heavenly Lantern series with cross-cultural character, and the constant discussion on Chinese and Western culture collision, and has merged the cultural connotation of Gu's phrase. She is becoming the first implemental-plan of the Heavenly Lantern series.
"Heavenly Lantern - Tea Palace" has perfectly meshed with PALAIS DES CONGRES DYNASTIE – CONGRESPALEIS DYNASTIE on the international exchanges. On the overview, the tea palace will be hung up by the Chinese traditional red and yellow lanterns. The entire lanterns will make up a Chinese-style pavilion building style. The red and yellow lanterns spell Gu's phrase "cha+shi" on both sides of the palace. It is an artistic interpretation of "Chinese culture" and an artistic way to "taste China". On the details, the word "zhong+guo" ( )-printed lanterns make the artistic idea incorporate to the minor details. Besides the Lantern LOGO, Wenda Gu's art and tea palace's cultural program are linked in one organic whole.
