Contributor Description

The series of landscapes and cityscapes examines the idea of “void” or “emptiness”, the pockets of silences and stillness that sporadically invade our lives. They allude to subtle aesthetics as informed by the Japanese concept of Wabi Sabi, an understanding of the aesthetics by emphasis of the idea of transience, a beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.” The photographs are appropriately introspective and the scenes they capture have invited the photographer to experience personal moments of reflection.
