From 12th to 22nd of March, Goethe-Institut China, in co-operation with Broadway Cinematheque MOMA, presents a retrospective of German filmmaker Fatih Akin. The movies will be shown with Chinese subtitles. The first ones are: „Short Sharp Shock“(1998), „In July“(2000) and „Solino“(2002), followed by „Head-On“(2004) and the documentary „Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul“(2005). Last but definitely not least will be „The Edge of Heaven“(2007), which was nominated best foreign movie at the Oscars 2008. After every screening at the Broadway Cinematheque MOMA there will be time for discussion with Chinese intellectuals attending.
