In the fifties and sixties, no photographer captured the stars more than Edward Quinn. In recounting the life of this atypical Irishman, Heinz Bütler’s Swiss film “Riviera Cocktail - Edward Quinn”, pays homage to the Cannes Film Festival and the city’s Carlton Hotel. Quinn knew all the famous actors and actresses – Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, Kirk Douglas, Grace Kelly, Kim Novak, Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, just to mention a few well-known names – and was unrivaled when it came to depicting an aura of glamor on the Croisette.
