On June 9th, 2017, Beijing No.55 High School International Students Section held graduation ceremony for grade 9 and grade 12 students. Leaders, honored guests, and parents gathered together to witness this joyful and festive moment.
Principal Chen Hong made a passionate speech at the ceremony, gave all the graduates warm congratulations and ardent expectations, and also expressed deep appreciation and respect to the dedicated teachers and parents who devoted their passion to students’ growth!
Then the parent representative Vilma Busquets, our graduate Salomon’s mother, gave a great speech, with which she expressed thanks to the school for offering students happy campus life. Li Minhao, Grade 12 student representatives from Korea delivered a speech “Recall, Grateful, and Blessing” to thank school and teachers for educating and caring for them, bringing a satisfactory full stop to high school life. In their dynamic age of youth, the children danced again to thank the school teacher's cultivation and care. The teacher representatives Shi Liming from Grade 12 made a speech, sending best wishes to graduates. Fionn’s mother, Ireland artist Niamh presented the school a painting as a gift.
During the ceremony, Principal Chen Hong and Secretary Wang Huibo issued the graduation certificates and gave souvenirs to graduates' representatives. The representatives of the students presented flowers to the teachers and took photos.
This year, our International Students Section education was fruitful. There were 58 high school graduates, and 13 of them were enrolled by Peking University and Tsinghua University. More than 40 students were enrolled by top 100 world famous universities, including New York University, University of Maryland, Virginia Tech, Boston University, Michigan State University, University of the Arts London—Central Saint Martins, University of Manchester, University of Sheffield, University of Toronto, Hong Kong University, Hong Kong Tech, and University of Milan.
With efforts of all teachers and students, we are confident to have a more glorious future.
