This group is designed solely for men who are dealing with issues of anger, depression, anxiety and self-esteem. It is led by Dr. Rob Blinn, Director of the Beijing United’s Family Counseling Center, who is a psychologist specialtizing in men’s issues. Meets Fridays from 1:30-2:50pm. Weekly group fee: RMB340.
Dr. Rob Blinn, Director of the Beijing United’s Family Counseling Center is a psychologist with a specialty in the treatment of men’s issues. A man with relationship difficulties or personal issues can find it difficult to admit that he has a problem and even more so, to accept that he might need help. Asking for help is often seen by guys as a sign of weakness or failure.
Dr. Blinn believes that anyone who can face their shortcomings and reach out for support during the effort to change is probably braver than most individuals. It takes guts to change and even more guts to accept a helping hand.
Some common areas of counseling & psychotherapy work with men's issues may include:
Persistent feelings of anger, depression or anxiety Self esteem, loneliness or relationship issues Difficult decisions or career changes Issues around violence, risk taking or addiction Recovery from a past trauma or abuse Questions about sexuality and masculinity
Group meets Fridays: 1:30-2:50pm at the BJU St. Regis Clinic. Weekly group fee: RMB340.
