Had a great burger (huge) and fries here. Great atmosphere and overall some of the better Western food I've had in Beijing. The wait staff is more interested in talking to each other than waiting on you. Overall, it was a good meal. I'd definitely go back. Make sure you have a milkshake!

The 25RMB milkshake is friggin amazing. If that shake had been around in the 1960s Frank Lukas would have had to smuggle that smack out of Thailand, and Leonard Cohen would have written somber, lonely songs about withdrawal from its sugar high. Thurston Moore would be 300 pounds, and Chris Farley would have died earlier. If you think you can handle that kind of peanut-buttery sugar smack, best head down there ASAP.

I went here Sunday (Jan. 13, 2008) and it saved my life, I sware! I was down and out after a miserable pancake experience at Lush in Wudaokou (don't go, they were rubbery) Saturday, so Sunday I figured out how to get to Grandma's. Wonderfully huge pancakes that were airy, whispy, and golden. I ended up ordering another plate they were so good.

I really enjoyed Grandma's. Especially their breakfast and Double Burger. They did increase their price, but since I live in the Guo Mao area and they provide free deliveries. It's definitely a place I'd call for take outs. But bare in mind, when they are busy, they won't deliver until at least an hour later. So, don't call when you're super hungry.

I guess I'd try it again, everyone says it's so great, but... my experiences wasn't that great. I didn't care for the veggie omelet; the veggies were just sort of placed on it, not all mixed in, not cooked into it. And even though it was fairly empty it was tough to get the waiter over. My mint tea was WAY too strong... good golly it was like mouthwash; a handful of mint leaves with not even a whole cup of water. I took out the leaves, leaving about 1/3 cup of super-minty water, and asked him to add water (to dilute it & make it drinkable). He didn't know what to do, because he's not supposed to give refills or something... but that's ridiculous, I just wanted to add some water. I asked if they give "kaishui", just a glass of hot water, and he said he could give me that... so I poured that into my tea. Weird.

was ok, not perfect a bit pricey seemed about the quality of Dennys... maybe better to go after a lot of drinks lol

staff spoke no english, seems odd for a place that is set up to cater to foreigners, maybe she has other talents?

Hm?! it is just ok and a bit too pricey for a go back again experience. I gave it a try several times for lunch and dinner but every time, it was just average, the food, the service, the atmosphere...

warm hearty food. some are really good. the others are just good, but still enough to keep me going back there again.

My friend mentioned its a good place for american food so thought just try it out. We had the burger , milkshake ,omellette and some hashbrowns,pancakes. I was hungry , and the two of us paid well over rmb 250. Food is okay,not so original. overall experience average ,not great. still can go there if you do not find american food anywhere ,better than the chinese food.Am still not getting used to chinese food .
