This American institution has finally set up shop in Beijing, bringing with it jugs of beer, buns of hamburgers and yes, hooters. Expect All-American fun in the venue that has been a coming-of-age ritual for young men for almost a quarter of a century.

I was disappointed during a visit in January 2010. I was there with a good sized group and i think most of those there would agree that the food was less than average and the atmosphere did not come close to making up for it. I didn't bother to finish my burger because it didn't taste good. A plate of wings put on the table didn't get eaten either. People said they tasted like they were left over and rewarmed so i didn't bother to bite into them. Bottom line: high prices for low quality.

Customer went to Hooter’s Beijing on a Saturday night (because he wanted to check the place out whether it was anything like the hooter’s in USA) Customer had a pleasant dining experience
Customer was informed that Monday nights (between 6pm to 9pm is 50% off meals verbally by a senior hooters staff – given promo card (that details all the weeks promo (but the print is really small – how many messages can u print on a foldable promo card anyway) – cards are low visibility. Customer sees promo card says half price on Monday nights customer leaves hooters customer sees banner outside restaurant (big clear words – 50% off on Monday nights) Customer drawn by the communication message (i.e. “suckered in” although customer might be thinking there’s “no free lunch” but hey just try..u never know right?) Customer returns on a Monday night to celebrate an occasion Customer walks in and seats himself at a table Customer orders food Surprise - Was told that there is a min rmb120 order Customer asks if drinks are part of the rmb120 Customer was under the impression that so long as the total bill comes to rmb120 the 50% will apply for all items Customer orders meal (a total of rmb139) – customer expects to pay rmb69.50 at this point Customer eats meal Asks for check Surprise - Customer surprised to learn that the total check come to rmb104 Customer asks for explanation why but customer couldn’t comprehend the hooters girl because she explained in chinese and customers command of the language is poor. Customer pays check anyway Customer asks for manager Waits 3 minutes – no sign of manager Asks again Waits 3 minutes – no sign of manager Customer feels frustrated and wants to leave the place if the manager doesn’t turn up soon Manager finally turns up Customer decided to explain it nicely to the manager with the intention of letting her know that customer service needs to be improved Customer explains to the manager in a nice way that he was unhappy for the service and bla, bla, bla Manager just shooked her head – thanked the customer and apologized for what has happened (did nothing else) Customer asks for a bag for takeaway – was told it costs rmb3. customer surprised to learn about this (a normal bag costs rmb0.30-0.40 right? ). Customer gives rmb5 to the hooters girl anyway Customer goes to washroom Customer returns to table to see a plastic bag on table with the rmb5 given to pay for the bag together with it on the table. Customer was told the normal hooters bag is out of stock so this bag is free Customer thanks hooters girl and leave the place What can we learn from this? What would be in the customer’s mind? -

The drinks were good. Service was fast. The food however just wasnt upto the mark. The sphagetti wasnt well done. The fries I expected much better ,I have had better fries before here. The food taste is dropped surely. The place was empty too for a saturday evening. Before I had come here it was a buzzing place. It was quiet place for a weekend. So after a drink we were off to my other favourite places.

Really, I came here for the food. Anyone who has ever been to the Beijing Hooters knows this to be true...No overflowing A-cup or shitty service has ever brought anyone here twice. Really, the lunch special (buy two, get one free) rocks. The chicken breast sandwich is yummy and with only alittle fries...although they used to serve the buffalo chicken sandwich (which was really, really good, but not good for you), they seem to have replaced it with the chicken burger, which is not a fraction of the awesomeness wielded by the former. I've heard the burger is pretty good too, but I wouldn't know first hand. The (unseasoned) curly fries gets Hooters bonus points from me.

Ok... Let's begin with the fact I approach this review with this mentality: I'm a open minded peruvian-american who likes cuisine and culture from around the world. However, when it comes down to it, I like myself a good old fashion us-american meal of familiar flavors, beautiful women serving me, plasma tv with sports playing, friendly staff and a nice cold gigantic beer.
Hooters is just this place. The food isn't going to turn a experts head, but it is quality. If your looking for such a experience and for classic pan-american dishes this is the perfect place for you. From buffalo shrimp + chicken (wings, strips sandwich, and popcorn bits), philly cheese steaks, burgers, ham & cheese, new orleans cajun flavors, nachos, quesadillas, snow crabs, oysters, juicy steak, ribs, hot dogs, onion rings, curly fries and more. This place has that awesome, nostalgic us bar foods come to crave from time to time here in china and served under a classic american brand that remains consistent worldwide. The price for a western restaurant in china isn't bad either.
Not to mention, the number of hooters girls I was welcomed by at 2pm in the afternoon puts this hooters far above average in this field than the ones I've been to in the states, peru, london or spain.
Only negatives of the experience was the availability of only tabasco sauce as a hot sauce they can bring you in a bottle. Second, the 2pm mix of britney and backstreet boys as the music of choice. This might be because of the large number of chinese families dinning here, which I don't understand. I personally would not bring my 7 year old daughter to dine here.

Overly priced food that taste "normal".... Hooters "gals" were not "impressive" at all.

This place is not brilliant but it is OK.
Service is patchy. It really does depend on what shift you encounter, but at least they are all friendly enough and the singing and dancing is hilarious.
Drinks are not the cheapest around but neither are they the most expensive.
Food is OK. Not the best Western food in Beijing but certainly not the worst.
Turns out to be surprisingly kid friendly so all in all an amusing experience that will probably be repeated occasionally.

I'm going to go against the trend here and give Hooters a fine rating. Both me and my girlf love this place.. starting from the hilarious "HellowelcometoHOOTTERRRRSSSS!!" as you walk in the door, to the dancing, to the running joke that no matter what, you tell secretly advise a waiter it is someone in your group's birthday (hilarity ensues). Sure the food isn't amazing, but it is still good - the beers aren't super cheap, but buy a pitcher and it's reasonable... and the atmosphere is why we come anyways. Go HOOTERS!

It wasn't my fault ending up at Hooters to watch the opening ceremony and being together with friends, the location and surrounding doesn't matter too much anyway but... IMO there is no reason to go there, except you wanna spend an awful lot of money for mediocrity or you are a totally homesick US citizen who likes that kinda bar. But always keep in mind there are so many better places in this town which are worth your buck!

As for Hooters Food... There does seem to be a problem there. I have gotten sick several times, not sure if it's too much oil in the chicken or what. The crab legs I had the last time were still soaked with salt water making them nasty to eat.
All in all... For China... They did a fair enough job making it into an American eatery and a small slice of America so far across the pond. Not to mention they had to battle the cultural differences between Chinese tradition and an American way of doing business.

Breaded 119 wings taste like they could be from the USA. Other than that, loads of problems.
1) All the wings have that messy additional point-thing with no meat. 2) Beer is very expensive. 3) Food is also expensive. Hard to spend under RMB 150 here.

Hooters has bad service no matter which of its 25 countries the restaurant has set up shop in. It's been the Achilles heel of the chain since Hooters inception.
You've got to take Hooters for what it is when you venture into this "hyper American" restaurant. What other type of establishment would have the audacity to dress it's waitresses in mini-skirts and tank tops, and still label it as a "family restaurant?"
When you go to Hooters, you go for the wings. Everything else on the menu really isn't worth it. If you're willing to fork over 200 RMB for 50 wings, then you're night is set.
They're going to be the best buffalo wings you find in China. Friday and Saturday nights typically have the best service. Take it for what it's worth and enjoy yourself.

bad bad bad service! we went there during their happy hour yesterday: they have a buy 1 beer and get 10 wings free deal. the waitress spilt half of the beer on my friend's lap, and refused to get us a fresh one to replace. wings suck, no favor, chewy...
the worst is, after all these bad services, they want to charge us service charge! Not to mention that they don't deserve the service charge, they wrote 10% on the item description, but actually charge us the service charge for the free chicken wings as well, so it's actually about 18% of the whole bill. sneaky them!
we had to haggle with the waitress and her manager 3-4 times (about 20 minutes) before we can get the service charge off the bill. their service is unprofessional and much worse than most local joints. well, enough hooters for me in beijng.

Eh, what else would you expect from Hooters here in Beijing? Come on: their motto is “Delightfully Tacky, Yet Unrefined”, and with the still-fluctuating role of foreign restaurant chains here in China, there’s bound to be a few bumps in the road.
I found the girls to be incredibly cute – but I suppose it’s a matter of taste. Service was excellent. For 58 RMB, I shoveled away a decent ham and cheese sandwich, which arrived in under 10 minutes.
Our server actually hung around our mixed-gender group, chatted and refilled our glasses even through the place was bustling. (Crowd was about 50/50 young Chinese/middle-aged Caucasian businessmen.)
Wednesday nights are lauded as Wing Night. Come after 6 p.m. and you’ll receive 10 dried-out wings when you order a “Big Daddy”, or Hooter-speak for a glass of Budweiser – for 50 RMB.
The performances were a bit weak, however. In the States, I’d probably find a dozen buxom brunettes shaking their asses to a Gloria Estefan anthem attractive, but it doesn’t really fly here in China. My Chinese friends actually averted their eyes and later called the spectacle “embarrassing”.
Regardless, it’s a decent place to kick back and toss down a few. I’ll give it three hoots.

Food was really average. If you want to get good american food, go to TGI Friday's, not Hooters.
The only reason you may want to go there are for the girls, but you will even be disappointed, the Beijing Hooters girls are below "average".
It doesn't leave any valid reason to go to Hooters then!

Simple food, reasonable service and not so expensive.
The Chicken burger is fantastic also.

Hooters wings are good. A bigger draw than the staff. Bad dancing, service and attitude.
We had a 600rmb bill (easy to do here) with lots of food & beers, but when a lady in our group requested water - they only have paid bottle water available. It will be a long long time before I return. I am not upset at the price, just the attitude & service.

Wait a second. Why did we give two stars? Uh, maybe because there were no tomatoes in the salad. One star for the wings. You gotta love wings. They weren't spicy wings. Dan said she'd had one, but she didn't. I had hoped to see Sammi Shen, Ms. Hooters 2007, but she doesn't work here. This place is packed, but sadly it sorta misses something. Maybe b/c I'm biased. I grew up with Hooters. It was there when the Bulls won the NBA championship for the third time. Hooters got John Gardner drunk for the first time etc. Hooters Beijing looks like it will make the cut, but it just doesn't seem to have that homely something or the other. Could just be the third Long Island talking. Ugh. I'm going to regret this post.

Hooters is a sports restaurant that is synonymous with pretty well-endowed girls and tasty chicken wings. They have a reputation that has made them a success with people all over the world. However, I bet no one would expect the Hooters in Beijing to have the best wings out of all of them.
I recently visited both a Hooters in the US and in Nottingham England, and thought it would be great to compare them to Beijing’s. The orange quintessential décor and comforting wood furnishings make you feel warm and happy, like you really are in a local hang out with friends and family. The girls are considered the heart and soul of Hooters, and they are friendly with great English even if they are not as buxom as their US counterparts. However, in the end the food speaks for itself.
First and yes, the portions are US standard large, so don’t doubt coming here. However more importantly, the food quality is not only surprising but fantastic. The mushroom burger is hand made and arrives fresh and juicy and plump! The smell lingers and makes you lust for the first bite, and the perfectly cooked to order patty and succulent mushrooms with melted Swiss cheese simply melts through the burger. The crisp fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion brightens the flavor, and the burger is eaten all too quickly. It Is competitive with Lets Burger and Blue Frogs and cheaper, at 65 rmb.
The Beef quesadilla (62rmb) is another surprise. Where as you would expect a gooey greasy melted quesadilla, this one is fresh, with excellent filet beef, yes filet, and the vegetables and cheese are lightly blended so that you can taste each aspect.
The garden salad comes with amazing ranch dressing, on the side, so that calorie conscious people can choose to dress the salad or not, and the side order of celery and carrots are large fresh and chunky.
The 3mild wings were breaded and sour yet spicy, and tasty though not the best. With 8 different sauces though you are bound to find one you love, and we found the Hot Wing, which was actually mild and tender and great. They were better than the USA’s. Why? Because they are not as greasy as theirs and allow the sauce and meat to blend perfectly. Their vanilla ice cream was rich and luscious, even though the light sweet cheesecake was tasty but could have had more of a biscuit crust taste. Throughout the meal, my husband was having mouth spasms. He was in love with the burger, wings, and quesadilla and couldn’t stop taking about them the day after. Personally, I don’t know why we haven’t tried this place before. Not only is the food tastier than the US but less calories too! It is the perfect spot to go after a game, and the food is incredible and the atmosphere cozy and fun. With great recipes and quality ingredients, plus amazing daily deals Hooters is a place to visit weekly and make your to go to spot.
