This small Wudaokou cafe is very popular for its cheeseburgers. Menu items are quite cheap, as are drinks, but don't expect authenticity or high quality. A good study spot, New York House offers free Wi-Fi, as well as two refills on each cup of coffee.
A hidden gem, this small restaurant cafe is on the second floor of Wudaokou's HuaQingJiaYuan (华清嘉园). Proud of its commitment to no MSG, no artificial coloring, and no frozen beef, this "Gourmet American" restaurant really pulls through on value. Their burger is not only good, it's huge (hamburger 25kuai). The bread is somewhat sweet, but if you get the cheeseburger, the cheese more than makes up for it. I would also recommend the Cajun Chicken Breasts with salad and the Grilled 5 flavors Sausage and French Fries (this one takes a bit of time though). They have real ketchup and real mayo (big plus!). Their Colombia coffee (though not the best coffee) comes with 2 refills. The place is also great for studying as they have wireless and a lot of periodicals (actually, I've been reluctant to recommend it lest it gets too crowded). On a side note, I believe the place is run by a Korean as there are some Korean items on the menu.
