Find affordable drinks and the American classics of sandwiches, wraps, burgers, steaks and big salads at this popular family-friendly chain from Shanghai. Dine al fresco on the rooftop or in the cozy interiors while being served by attentive, English-speaking waitstaff.
blue frog's approach is simple: serve tasty western dishes in generous portions, prepared from scratch with the freshest ingredients. We're all about unwinding in a relaxed setting with friendly service, a huge selection of food and drinks, and good company.
Croakin’ Goodness
Tucked in the rooftop corner, it can be a little tricky to find. Fortunately for us, a wait staff by the lift downstairs directed diners to the café. Sitting al fresco on the rooftop, we were served by very attentive English speaking staff. For starters, we were disappointed with the small Greek Salad (RMB50) which turned up full of lettuce, sparsely decorated with olives and tomato, with no dressing quite unlike what we had anticipated, to have Feta Cheese, tomatoes and olives drenched in olive oil. The Spicy Chicken Wings, (10 for RMB30) however were lip-smackingly good. The Beef Burger (RMB75) and Fire Cracker Pasta (RMB75) were decent and we enjoyed the Healthy Frog (RMB40) and Banana Smoothie (RMB40), both refreshing fruity mixes without any hint of saccharine sweetness. The menu may be nothing to shout about, but the family friendly environment should make this joint popular with the parents and kids looking for a spot to spend a lazy weekend.
