Best about this lounge is the view of the upcoming CCTV tower, cant wait to see it when it's done next year.

Well a cup of coffee is just a cup of coffee... not really. It is often hard for a coffee addict like myself to get fresh brewed black coffee in Beijing that is just right. I was impressed that on my first (pre opening) visit to this hotel's "Lobby Lounge" they got it right the first time. Truly nice coffee, (RMB 50 excluding tax) that was naturally 'sweet' with the right consistency, (not too thick, not too thin) and with a perfect 'crema'. (The presence of crema, the foam on espresso, means it is prepared within the optimum of the variables of temperature, pressure and tamping, something that seems to elude most coffee shops in Beijing). This lounge with its floor to ceiling windows is bright and cheerful and has a very inviting ambiance. A great place to sit and read the paper, prepare or review meeting notes or just relax and unwind. Oh... and the cookie was excellent. I was in the hotel on a pre opening trial so you will need to wait until April 10 2008 to enjoy this lounge.
