No matter the time of day, you'll find this place bustling with patrons gobbling down steaming plates of dim sum. Their shrimp dumplings, stewed beef with radish and spare ribs with black bean sauce are all favorites. Not suitable for an intimate conversation but great for a rowdy group.

That's THE place for the weekend dim-sum brunch. I goes there at least once every 2 weeks and they always keep up with the great food quality. If not for dim-sum, then I don't think this place is worth it.
Positive: great dim-sum, fast service with their new wifi ordering system, open 24/7.
Negative: often need to queue, extremely noisy, smoky.

Last night, I dreamt that I was at Jin Ding Xuan eating vegetable dumplings and the egg pastry roll. Exiled from Beijing, it was sad to awaken without the ability to go there immediately. I've been there dozens of times at all sorts of hours, as the steaming dim sum comes out from the kitchen more or less immediately at any time of the day.
Jin Ding Xuan makes the perfect meal before or after a night dancing up a storm, and it has saved me from Tango-induced hangover on many an occasion. I know that it is smoky and noisy and overcrowded, but so isn't our beloved Beijing?

Rachels: Jindingxuan at ditan park is completely non-smoky area since June 1st. It gets them one more star from my side :)
But the noise is still there :)

me likey this place! one of the first restaurants that i visited when i came to beijing. a place that i like to visit at 3 or 4 am after ure done partying and feel hungry. or a good choice for dimsum breakfast. always take visitors to this place for a breakfast or brunch or even dinner. and they always love it. :) and yes, xigor, ure right. the noise is still there. hehe..

Not your 'fine-dining' Sunday morning dim-sum, but your bad day at work, let me unwind, 'where do we go from here?' late night dim sum. To that end, the place satisfies. Greasy fried noodles, steaming shao mai and spare ribs are recommended. Just beware of the jin zhen gu dumplings (awful)!
