Home Away From Home serves up Chinese food without the extreme salt and spice that can drive many foreigners away from local cuisine. Try the highly recommended Tangsuliji and Hongshao Eggplant. Best of all, you won't have to fork out much cash for these tasty eats.
Home Away From Home is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in the Lido area for foreigners. Let's face it - the super spicy, super salty, super Shui Zhu Yu-y places are just not everyone's kind of Chinese food.
But Home Away From Home IS (but not in a Panda Express kind of way). The Tangsuliji is lightly battered but packs just enough crunch underneath that gooey tangsulizzle. The hongshao eggplant is awesome!
It's like eating at Xiao Wangfu without spending a ton of cash. And it is in walking distance of Tom's "Embroidery" Shop
