City Weekend Says

This small café-cum-wine cellar serves a mixture of European and Chinese cuisine, with mixed results. The ratatouille quiche with salad is pretty good, but menu items here are often unavailable. While the café and wine cellar concept isn’t inherently flawed, Oh! Marco still has a ways to go before it's ready for prime time.

Contributor Description

Oh! Marco is definitely the place to go to enjoy a good glass of wine and typical French dishes.

Thanks to its new design and its spacious second floor it is the perfect "café around the corner" to share with some friends a plate of charcuterie or cheese, but also many other French dishes (quiches, French "pâtisseries" ...).

What is even best at Oh! Marco is that you can bring your own bottle of wine home since its Wine Cellar on the first floor offers a very wide range of wines from all over the world (of course from France, Italy ...).

City Weekend Review

In a previous incarnation, Oh! Marco was a lightly patroned café-cum-wine cellar. Now, it’s a somewhat more spacious café-cum-wine cellar. Unfortunately, it still seems to be having some identity issues, as a gander at the menu reveals French food, Chinese food and tapas cohabitating the same pages. While we had our doubts about the kitchen’s ability to juggle such a diverse range of cuisines, problems with availability made it hard to come to a conclusion. We were told not once, not twice, but four times that the item we wanted had already been sold out that day (we sat down a little before 1pm). The dishes we did receive ranged from pedestrian (a “garden salad” composed mostly of eggplant; ¥20), to average (braised beef brisket; ¥25), to pleasing (ratatouille quiche with salad; ¥25). The café and wine cellar concept isn’t inherently flawed (Enoteca is particularly deft in its execution), but Oh! Marco still has a ways to go before it’s ready for prime time.
