One of the few Western restaurants to stress healthy fare, the airy and modern venue is frequently full, especially at lunchtime. There's plenty of fish on the menu, and regulars go for the the mixed dip and bread platter. Outdoor seating makes it a great summer spot.

"Experience Review" Not an extremely big restaurant but have ample seats outdoor with a very comfortable & relaxing setting. Food presentation are very simple but the food is good. One of the best cous cous I have tasted so far in Beijing. Reasonably price & worth check it out

Very relaxed atmosphere. The menu is small but the dishes are well presented and very tasty. Very pleasant place for a lazy lunch with friends.

Very nice European food, including the best bread basket in Beijing, with the possible exception of Paulander's.

Came here for the ala carte brunch and loved everything we ordered, especially the lemon pancakes!

Excellent. Good service and well prepared and presented European fare. The tiramisu, while not as good as what I've had back home, is the best I've had in Beijing

I love this place. I am leaving a second review because I have been here many times since my first review and I've never had a bad meal here! In fact, I have to stop myself from eating here everyday. I especially love the cranberry cinnamon bread pudding and the salads.

Additionally the service is great! The manager is wonderful and very helpful - they even delivered to my office one day even though I was just out of delivery range.

High high high recommendations from me.

Great place to have a relaxing brunch here, fair menu selection and the atmosphere is just so intimate and relaxing, quite friendly service too.

Two thumbs up!

Apologies, I think I might have to challenge all the other reviews...

The food that would've been satisfying, the service that should've been tolerable, the impression that could've been memorable.

Food - taste was ok, though the pesto linguini became somewhat bland after four forkfuls. Not at all satisfying - portions were small, especially when paired with its price. The steak (90RMB) was about 10 cm in diameter, slouching on a pitifully puny mound of mashed potato.

Service - Apologies, I really have to disagree with the "exceptional service." We did not get menus, had to ask for them ten minutes after we sat down. I had to get out of my seat to get a server who grudgingly came over to take our order. Lastly, when we asked for our missing fapiao, the server snatched the bill to make the fapiao.

The impression was, I'm afraid, foul. The food really could've been good, that's all I can say. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day. But I'm not going there again to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Service-- the waitresses were unattentive. When I first walked into the restaurant, I had to tell her multiple times that I wished to dine while she completely ignored me. Then when she finally got around to bringing me to my table, she didn't give me a menu until 10 minutes after I've sat down. During this time, I had to walk around looking for a menu. Then when time came to ordering, she was impatient. While I dined, I asked for a glass of water, which I never received. Also, I needed pepper and I had to go get my own. Finally, when I asked for the check, I had to go find a random waitress, who then told me that it's none of her business because she wasn't in charge of my section. Then it took another 10 minutes for the bill to arrive, and 20 for me to get my fapiao--which the waitress reluctantly got for me. For those who don't know, if the customer didn't get a fapiao, the restaurant and avoid paying taxes.

Food--I ordered the Chicken with linguini and pesto, and the mushroom sauce pasta which I can't remember the name of. The linguini didn't have enough pesto, so the taste was bland. I asked for extra cheese, in which the waitress responded that they didn't have any and refused to give me more. The mushroom sauce pasta was good, but in meager portions and definitely not worth 70 RMB for something I finished in two bites. Similarly, the pesto linguini's portions were too delicate and most certainly not worth 70RMB.

I would never go back to the Olive again, and I'd even go to McDonald's than the Olive--at least you can leave without an empty stomach paying merely 20 RMB.

Nice relaxed atmosphere, but in the end only average. The food was okay, nothing special, i even cant remember what else i had besides the salad (its been a couple of weeks ago). The portions are rather small for the price, what doesn't mean that i believe in "only a big portion makes it a good meal", it is just not what i expected for my money, in quality and size....

one of my fave places in town to have either brunch or dinner. usually go there for brunch. tried all the burgers/sandwiches. all good. worth for money. as for the dinner, yes the food can come in tiny portion. but still i left the restaurant feeling good. all that we ordered tasted so good. never had a problem with the service here. the manager is really nice. when the weather is nice, i love to sit outdoor. just perfect for a nice, relaxing weekend brunch.

Maybe my experience was unique, but I thought the food was either horrifically bland or tasted like a Chinese version of Western food - my pumpkin soup was mostly made of cream and sugar. My friend's steak was extremely overdone - he asked for medium rare and received a well-done steak -and the service was horrible! When we tried to send the steak back, they told us we would be charged for it anyway and they screwed up my other two friends' entrees (they didn't even get their food until the rest of us were done eating)...with so many wonderful restaurants in this location, I do not think this one is worth your time.

Been back here on a few occasions with friends and they never seem to get it right. The bread platter is pretty good...but unless you stop the meal there, things just always seem to head downhill. Overall, the food is horrifically bland - I know it's supposed to promote "healthy" dining, but last time I checked, "healthy" didn't mean flavorless. If you're really into healthy, fresh cuisine, check out W Wine and Dine down the street. It is definitely a better choice for this kind of cuisine.
