Carved out of a hutong, this boho-chic bistro distinguishes itself with a selection of well-made homestyle European staples like pizzas, quiche, baked potatoes, moussaka and salads. Patrons relax with glasses of wine off the carefully prepared wine list and enjoy a renowned brunch in the sunny inner courtyard on the weekends.
Vineyard Cafe is a restaurant and bar located near Yong He Gong (The Lama Temple) in Beijing, China. Located just north of the Confucius Temple, we offer a delicious selection of home style European cooking including Pizzas, Quiche, Baked Potatoes, Moussaka, Salads and Seafood. We also have an extensive beer and wine selection, fresh coffee and a well stocked bar. Brunch served at weekends. Traditional English Roast Chicken dinner available by pre-order.
Located in a hutong just west of Yong He Gong, Vineyard Cafe is a hidden gem that's well worth the search. Soft, warm lighting, high, attic style ceilings with exposed wooden beams and a smatter of slender oak tables atop dark wood flooring greet patrons in the front dining room. Step through tall glass doors, pass the adjoining, narrow courtyard (now with heat lamps to combat the nip of winter) and head straight to the back lounge area. Big, comfy brown suede couches beneath high shelves dotted with books and stuffed animals invite patrons to lounge an afternoon away. The homey decor makes you feel like you're at a friend's place; a friend who is immaculately clean and cooks good food. Dig into a hearty baked potato, loaded up with coronation chicken, cheese and beans (¥42) or try a delightfully thin crusted vegetable pizza topped with a generous portion of gooey mozzerella and very fresh olives and tomatoes. Then just relax, put your feet up and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. (Vineyard Cafe is closed on Mondays)
