This classical French restaurant serves up traditional French cuisine Seine River style. With over 150 labels of international and local wines, the menu boasts the classics of duck liver pate, snails baked in herbs and garlic butter and rack of lamb.
French Classics
This classical French restaurant is dressed to impress with an interior reminiscent of Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors. Chef Georges Mompezat has over 50 years of experience preparing traditional French cuisine. We started with a pan-seared goose liver pate (¥88) with caramelized apples. Our escargots bourguignonne (¥48) baked in garlic and herb butter dissolved on the tongue. The baked sea bream with herbs (¥118) was light and flaky, served with a side of roasted vegetables. While delicious, it was outshone by the center-cut beef tenderloin (¥238). Each medium-rare bite was tender and juicy, complemented by the crunchy-salty side of grandmother’s style potatoes reminiscent of a latke. While the food is authentic French cuisine at a reasonable price, its opulent setting is better suited to impress a Chinese clientele.
