If you happen to get hungry while car shopping, this is the place for you. Situated next to a dealership, this bistro serves up Italian fare with a Chinese twist. The food is nothing special-the caprese salad is just average. The atmosphere is also a little stiff, but there's a good wine selection.
While there isn’t actually anything particularly speedy about this place, those in the market for a new car will want to dine in this posh restaurant/bar combo that shares a glass wall with an adjoining luxury car dealership. Just don’t let the awkwardly chosen name turn you off, because the BBS Gastro Bar offers a very satisfying array of Italian-style, European dishes that suggest a slight Asian influence. A plate of grilled pork sausages (¥58) and roasted corn-fed chicken (¥65)–both of which came with appropriate side dishes–satisfied completely and tasted great. Their house cocktails (¥20-40) did not disappoint and there was also much to be thankful for in terms of their wine selection (¥300-1000/bottle). But while the restaurant’s atmosphere was a bit staid (some music could have helped), with such helpful and friendly service and such a sleek and classy styled-interior there wasn’t really much to be upset about. In all a great place for an evening aperitif and fulfilling meal. You may even end up window shopping for that sedan or coup you’ve always wanted.
