Trendy, glamorous and cozy all at once, this restaurant and lounge is hip dining at its finest. The menu featuresa range of fusion Chinese cuisine. We particularly like their take on Beijing duck. Choose to dine in the outdoor garden or in the stylish interiors of the restaurant. Diners can also enjoy the live music every Friday and Saturday night.
A ROOM WITH A VIEW, DAINTY, AND JOY. Beautiful view: a conservatory with garden view bathed in sunshine; lazy afternoon hours under the phoenix trees; or simply watch the drips of falling rain making traces on the window… Gourmet food: a feast for the eyes and taste bud, lingering aftertaste evolves into sweet memories… Romantic evening: 199 lighted candles, flickering in romantic music, what is more intoxicating, wine or joy? WISH-WUTONG, fulfill everything that YOU WISH.
When a restaurant lists its food’s calorie content on the menu, provides hairstyling products in its bathroom, and asks how “vogue” it is on its customer survey, it’s a sure bet that there’s now yet another restaurant stalking the city’s moneyed swish set. Even for the eminently unswishy among us, though, there’s a lot to love here. The interior is a testament to superb restaurant design: open and airy in the day, swanky and intimate in the evening. The hybrid Western-Chinese menu—printed wall hanging style on a fun yet wholly impractical scroll—is happily free of disappointments, with a regrettably small portion of cod in a creamy soup of pumpkin (¥28), an artfully presented gongbao jiding (in our defense, ordered on our waitress’s recommendation; ¥48), and an exquisitely smooth peanut and chocolate flavored bingsha (¥30) serving as highlights. Chilly bathrooms and a couple of inexplicable service delays detracted somewhat from the experience, but were, fortunately, the only off notes in a harmonious evening of dining.
