City Weekend Says

This intimate dining space features an extended wood table in the middle, creating a theatrical dining experience. Presenting generous portions of Italian fare in a Japanese zen manner, Tavola also has an extensive wine list to complement your meal. Don't miss the smoked beef carpaccio with black truffle and the antipasti platter.

City Weekend Review

Med Flavors

An alluring space with a long wooden table that takes centre stage, this elegant establishment boasts a classy and intimate feel. Authentic Italian cuisine arrived at our table tastefully presented in a Japanese Zen style, with custom made plates and cutlery to match. We began with antipasti that sultry summers cry out for; Smoked Beef Carpaccio with Black Truffle, Shaved Parmesan Cheese, Rocket and Lemon Dressing RMB78, and Tavola Antipasti Platter RMB128 - generous portions of quality cheese, salami, olives and proscuitto, a spread of zesty taste and color, sufficient to hold anyone with a short attention span. We plunged straight into our main courses; a very flavorsome Braised Lamb Shank in Barolo Red Wine Sauce with meat pink and tender as a baby, served with Mashed Potato and Confit of Garlic RMB138, fresh Grilled Sea-Bass Fillet with Roasted Cherry Tomato, Fried Zucchini and infused mint oil RMB138, a delightful hint of mint aftertaste and finally a large plate of Grilled Seafood Skewer with assorted seasonal vegetables (King prawn, Salmon, Snapper, Sea bass) RMB198 enough to feed a family. Although we were filled to the brim, we couldn’t resist the homemade Gelati e Sorbetti RMB88 presented in little square ceramic containers reminding us of a colorful paint palette, including our favorite, a secret recipe of olive oil and strawberry fruit mix.
