This sushi restaurant draws a regular crowd of Japanese and non-Japanese customers alike, all attracted by the authentic ambiance and very fresh seafood. Try the amazing Gunkan Maki with Toro and Quail Egg.
To see whether the sushi restaurant is great or not, you'll need to sit on the counter and see the chefs prepare the sushi with your own eyes.
The greatest thing about Edomae Sushi apart from the authentic ambience that boasted regular japanese and local customers is that the owner-chef know what he's doing with his sushi, this place offers various kinds of authentic sushi menus, both gunkan maki (with the seaweed wrapped around the rice topped with raw fish or other ingredients) and nigiri
Fish here are very fresh, you can ask for the recommendation from the chef about what kind of fish that just came in. We started off with sashimi with octupus, botan ebi and aji which were all delicious, Then followed by various other dishes. But since we were there for sushi, we ended up ordering many kinds of sushis at the end.
Eating sushi at the counter is slightly different from eating at the table, we ordered piece by piece, and of course, piece after piece were put in front of us on top of the leaf which was used instead of a plate.
The must try menu is the gunkan maki with toro and quail egg, simply amazing.
Although specialized in Sushi, this restaurant also have extensive menus that you could find.
