City Weekend
says

This CBD sushi restaurant offers up a diverse range of creative rolls, including one topped with pop rocks candy and one cooked before your eyes with a mini blow torch, both well worth a try. The two-for-one lunch and weekend specials makes this a popular dining spot; reserve in advance.

Thought this place was excellent.

Generous portions, really fresh fish and an amazing selection of rolls. Service was friendly and prompt. Who could ask for more?

The handrolls here are delicious and on a weekend, it's buy one set and get one set free which is awesome. The rolls with crackling candy are highly recommended. Be warned though that if you go in the evening on the weekends, you should probably make a reservation or you'll have to stand around waiting.

Another great find for sushi in Beijing. Food is great and price is also reasonable, compared to Hatsune. Lots of creative rolls, good selection of japanese food, japanese bbq.

Might be a little tricky to find. Get to blue castle, past the giant white bird cage and walk down the little street, the restaurant is on the left. Great service with attentive and friendly wait staff, portions are generous and the rolls were fantastic. The sashimi was good but would have been better if they sliced the tuna and salmon a little thinner.

Thanks CW for this great find! Went there for dinner last Sunday and loved the half off sashimi and sushi on weekends! The fish was incredibly fresh and the service was extremely attentive...also, this place can definitely rival Hatsune in the creative rolls category (albeit Hatsume's menu of rolls is much more expansive but Shota Muni's prices are on average 15-20% -or more- lower). I have to admit, the pop rocks roll sounded a bit wierd, but tasted great! Thanks for the recommendation!

*Tip: Space is an issue so reservations are highly recommended
