Walk into Isshin on any night of the week and you'll find it packed with both foreigners and locals because it's definitely the best quality sushi in Wudaokou! If you enjoy wasabi, then this is definitely the place for you because each creation is packed with a spicy kick - if you're not such a fan of it, then you might not like their rolls and nigiri. The prices are extremely reasonable - around 12-18 for a two-piece nigiri order or single handroll order; and the menu specials are constantly changing - the other night we tried the miso pork and it was delicious! If sushi isn't your thing, they also have some great pork and chicken bento boxes! The service is hit or miss, so brace yourself; but the food is definitely worth it!

Tip: They really stop taking orders at 9:30 even though they're suppose to close at 10.

Also for first timers, this restaurant is a bit difficult to find because it's in a little alley (pass tous les jours) off of Chengfulu.

good food here!!! i love the potato and cheese on a hot plate. the sushi rolls are pretty good as well. cant complain. nice place. gets really packed during lunch or dinner hours. about half year ago opened new branch near my place so i prefer to go to that one. but still one of my fave place to meet with some friends in wudaokou.

I've been there once and I'll never go back there again. The staff is totally rude and careless. The restaurant was packed so the waiters asked us to wait at the entrance, despite the fact that we saw some vacant tables. (we mentioned it and could finally sit down). We had to ask 5 times for the caidan, almost had to beg for it. The waitresses would walk past us but never dared taking a look at us. When we finally caught their attention and order, we had to wait for at least 20 minutes if not more to get served. I had a soup without any spoon, and once again, almost had to dance naked on the table to catch their attention. I had to ask for it 3 times because they forgot the two first times! Asking for the maidan was a real challenge once again and we waited for a really long time (min. 30 mn) before finally deciding to go pay at the counter directly. Even there, no one cared about us and after another 10 minutes trying to catch the cashier's attention, I decided to leave. My boyfriend, who's more patient than me, stayed a little longer and paid. Of course, the food is good for the price, but if you really want to go to Isshin, go to another one, like the one next to UIBE's west gate. The staff there is a lot nicer. And if you really want to eat japanese in the Wudakou area, go to Yu Tai Lang!
