Beijing's first Cuban restaurant sets out to revolutionize Latin American food in the capital, and if the tapas doesn't get your heart racing, the mean mojitos will. The the décor is old Havana town bistro and café and Alexis whips up Spanish dishes with Latin fare.

never ever! I´ve been there once and will never will go there again. They pretend to have a Cuban chef but he´s gone long time ago and a Cuban food made by Chinese tastes awful! :-o And not cheap by the way... Before they had some Cubans managing the place who were really nice to talk to and now they are not there drived out by Chinese so... Give it a try if want to have a boring evening and a stomach ache next day!

i saw this Cuban chef yesterday,besides... what's going on? i was there on last Satuaday night, and i saw the Cuban chef cause' he presented the Paella in his person. Also, they have this wonderfull jazz band which i think really stands out of many other bands in Sanlitun area... The tropical cocktails are impressive too.

A-Che's true face After many weeks we decided to have dinner at A-Che, it was a huge mistake: The starters didn't come at the same time and the new dish praised by the chef in the menu turned out to be old and completely tasteless. The main course was no better. At first, the staff tried to serve me another dish, but they corrected the mistake in seconds, in seconds! As we were the only people eating there I can only assume that the fish had been waiting for an unhappy customer like me. It tasted horribly, just as did the beef. The service was unfriendly and unattentive, dishes weren't served at the same time and the drinks were far too sweet, overall, a huge disappointment. Whether the chef is Cuban or not, I cannot tell, but all the same the restaurant is not even worth considering. 240 kuai spent for two empty stomachs and a bad evening.

We had a great evening last Friday at A-che Me and my friends spent a great evening at A-che, with lots of good music and dance people that night. Good atmosphere. Only the fact that my Polish friend suggested to the bar man that they should also include Poland flag among with the others in the bar. For food, we had beef fillet called Uruguay Beef. It was just not the same as we imagined, but it was tasty, and was a so huge portion. I think it's a good neiboughhood resto/bar. i will go there again.

I crave this restaurant on a regular basis. Their lunch time specials are amazing and I really like the Cuban pork sandwich and the Mexican tortilla soup. I've never heard any of my friends/coworkers complain about the food and I work with both Chinese and Foreigners. Their Cuban chef is definitely back (if he ever left) and the ambiance here is great.

Anyone that has ever tasted Cuban food understands why there aren't many Cuban restaurants. Let's take a survey shall we? How many Cuban restuarants are in your home town? Right! One or two if it's a big city, zero if it's a small town. Cuban food is basic and lacking in taste which is why Jazz and Rum are so popular in Cuba - both are needed to take one's mind off of the food.

This place has great service, but is unconvincing when it comes to food and drinks. Most of the food was unsurprising or even "regular". A friend of mine ended up with a piece of pork fat in his sandwich that was the size of a tennis ball cut into two. Also, the place is rather expensive (appetizers for 40RMB mains for 85 - 250RMB). Not bad, but also far from great. pity, I still love Cuba! :)

I don't know what you are talking about guys, but what I heard had nothing common with the last band from Salsa Caribe, where they had a really great band of 9 or more people really PLAYING great music live, not this.... Besides speaking about Buena Vista Social Club, it's just a lack of respect to compare them two! I am the client of this restaurant from the beginning and can say that it wasn't the boss' great idea to put this band playing, at the beginning I thought they were from Philippines or something like that, but they definitely have one Chinese guy and one heavy man with a stupid face. I know the Cubans are very friendly, definitely not like them! Electric base and no percussion you call the real Cuban music? Forget about it!

Went there for the weekend lunch buffet. Some of the dishes offered at the buffet were good and very tasty most only average, everything was freshly made and the presentation was nice. It even had some highlights such as the coconut rice pudding, the old clothes, and the aioli, which were excellent.
To make it a lasting experience, there were too many minor things adding up. For example that not even one cup of coffee, tea or juice is included, that the so called tuna salad merely has no tuna in it and that too many dishes were just of average taste as well as the Mojito, which was too sweet.
The service was very nice, friendly and helpful. The place (lunch buffet) has for sure some potential and it would be easy to make it a come back and back again lunch buffet...

Surprisingly Cuba was there on Monday night. it was almost full at the first floor. Great food! the best Ropa Vieja and Mojito i've ever had out of Cuba. People are very friendly there. We're here to cover on Olympics and will be staying till the end of September. will go back for sure. We love Cuba!

We were really exhausted after 3-day journey in Beijing and got little appetite for dinner. Therefore, we didn't order the recommended dishes which is full of meat and seafood. First of all, the service here is quite attentive and friendly. And the free bread is so great that we ordered three helpings. As a result, we all felt a little full before the dishes were served.

Creole eh? We'll see about that! The Hilton used to make that bold claim with Chef Dan Segall. Didn't quite cut it.
