    City Weekend Says

A favorite with Chinese and foreigners, this stuff-your-face kind of place has a buffet offering 13 types of barbecued meats sliced off of skewers by waiters dressed in gaucho outfits. Pick from the variety of salads, soups and meat dishes and top it all off with fresh fruits dipped in the chocolate fountain. Enjoy it all while being serenaded by a live Brazilian band.

    City Weekend Review

In tranquility of the sprawling Solana shopping complex, who would have known that weekday lunch at this Brazilian BBQ joint draws a vast crowd of Chinese and foreigners (Brazilians included)? Latin Grillhouse has the perfect atmosphere for buffet dining— noisy, crowded, with a Brazilian band crooning Chinese songs and banging out Latin beats. It’s an open invitation to stuff your face (at ¥58 for lunch and ¥98 for dinner). And stuff we did, from 13 types of barbecued meats sliced off of skewers by waiters dressed in gaucho outfits to fresh fruits dipped in the chocolate fountain. Various salads, soups and meat dishes are available at the buffet, but the strategic diner knows to find and load up on his favorite cut of barbecued meat. At the dessert table, green tea ice cream and flan stand side by side, while a chocolate fountain makes the experience even sweeter. It’s not the most authentic churrascaria, but for the ravenous carnivore in all of us, Latin Grillhouse does the trick.
