City Weekend Says

Very authentic Malaysian restaurant with good service and decor with just a hint of Malacca. The satays come highly recommended, as do the green curry chicken, the seafood curry noodles and the vegetable dishes, although the beef rendang is a bit mild for some palates.

Contributor Description

Authentic and delicious Malaysian food. Six of us went aged from 8 to 58 and the consensus, five star dining. Service was very good, nice open restaurant, decor has just a hint of Malacca. We had such a large variety (ate family style) that it is hard to decide what to comment on specifically. The satays (RMB 30) were great, Beef Rendang (20) could have been a little spicier, however the Green Curry Chicken (38) and the Seafood Curry Noodles were excellent. The vegetables were outstanding, Sambal Kang Kong (25) and the Bean Sprouts with Salted fish were just as I remember them from Malaysia.

Pricing is cheap, vegetables average RMB 25 and as a guide Sambal Prawns are 98, Curry Laksa and Pandan Chicken 30, BBQ Pork Fillet 38 and Hua Dan Noodles 60. Soft drinks are 10-15, Tea/Coffee 15-30, Juices 15 and Evans & Tate White Label White (Semillon Chardonnay) or E & T Red Label Cab Shiraz RMB150, all up RMB 555 and we had masses of food and a bottle of wine.

Looking forward to returning!
