This Italian/Arabic restaurant has an extensive menu that serves up a range of Mediterranean cuisine. Don't leave without trying the lasagna Bolognese. The very carnivorous might want to consider order the menu's roasted lamb that requests a 24-hour advance order.
Fusion Effusion
We never would have imagined Arab-Italian fusion, but here it is. This charming two-story Arabian-Italian bistro boasts a cozy al fresco dining area. Italian checkered table cloths are juxtaposed with a rainbow-lit bar straight out of a shoddy Pacific resort, while country music plays in the background. Our Mediterranean-inspired meal started with an enormous portion of feta cheese with olive salad (¥35). It was a little salty for our palate. The hummus with meat (¥35) was creamy but unremarkable. Our first entrée was an overcooked salmon steak (¥60) that we had requested rare. The highlight (and saving grace) of our dinner was the lasagna Bolognese (¥50), which we blissfully devoured. Our chocolate milkshake (¥35) tasted a bit like store-bought chocolate milk. We left curious about the menu’s roasted lamb (¥1,300), which requires a 24-hour advance order.
