A great spot for an exotic evening filled with Arabian fanfare. With gilded ceilings, entertaining belly dancing and outdoor seating available, it's one of Beijing's most unique dining experiences. Specialties include lamb and chicken kebabs and spicy pita bread. The restaurant boasts many Middle Eastern expats as regular customers.

good food and atmosphere..... make you feel you are not in china and most important food is too good worth going 1000 times... or more

This place has got a nice, kitch interior. However, when the performance is on it's simply too loud; also, the price is rather hefty.

Must agree with Dominic, the music is kind of loud but the food is fantastically delicious. Our pita bread was warm and fresh, the kind that when you break it open, the steam comes out. The manager kept watch over us almost the entire time we ate, thus, our service was great. Will definitely be back!

I went with a huge cavalcade of people on a Friday night – most definitely worth it. 1001 Nights fills the void in Middle Eastern cuisine here in the city: How can you argue with belly dancers offering impromptu grind sessions, rowdy embassy workers, hookah smoke and kickass hummus?
But I’d have to disagree with elsiecakes – the waitstaff were sub-par. Our poker-faced fuwuyuan could’ve taken a few cues from the resident dancers and lightened up a bit. Ordering another round of drinks was as cumbersome as I’d imagine getting the Muslim businessmen next to us to dig into a steaming plate of pork jiaozi.
