Similar to other Middle Eastern restaurants in Sanlitun, this place is small and basic, and does some dishes very well and others not quite as well. It's also mostly an outdoor affair, so takeout's the best option when it's cold out. The falafel is very good, and available raw so you can make it at home. There's also a small butcher's counter.
Flavorful Falafel
Jerusalem is very similar to other Middle Eastern restaurants near Sanlitun—it’s small and basic, and does some dishes very well and others not quite as well. The tiny shop is mostly an outdoor affair, and will be better suited for take-away in the winter. Our food took a while to arrive, but all the dishes came together, and the service overall was very pleasant. The hummus (¥20) is pretty good, as is the kibbeh (¥25). The falafel (¥20) is made with cinnamon for a unique flavor, and the consistency is excellent. The tabouli (¥25) is so-so, and the fatoush (¥20) could have been fresher. It’s a decent spot for an Arabic snack, though, and we like that the raw falafel can be purchased in bulk to be fried at home.
