Enjoy boozy vodka kebabs and the indulgent Kiev pudding while stars of the Ukrainian opera scene get decked out in military uniforms and saunter among the tables belting out tunes. Sounds weird, but it's oddly enjoyable, especially when spotting old people in the crowd, teary-eyed with nostalgia for youths spent on language exchange in the Soviet Union.
