With its peaceful ambiance and exceptional dishes, Very Siam has built up an enthusiastic clientele. Three Thai chefs and imported artwork provide an authentic Thai taste and feel in a casual dining atmosphere. Try their spicy pork with coconut sauce and golden corn shrimp cakes.

Sorry guys, but this place sux. My wife asked me 'why are there so many dongbeiren serving us here?' and it all clicked into place. It has changed its target clientele and is now aiming for the clueless hip 'nouveau riche' chinese and serves up Thai dishes that taste inspired by a Dongbei chef. From the deep fried mandarin fish in sweet and sour sauce that looks and tastes exactly like a poor man's song shu gui yu (but it ain't cheap) to the Tom Yum soup that is tasteless and totally lacking in anything except maybe the name of the packet that it came out of to the masaman curry that is just totally weird and bears no relationship to the real thing. Oh and the 'vietnamese spring rolls' even had a layer of sugar to crunch on and no mint at all. Looked and tasted just like pillows. For 360 kuai per couple (and with only 1 beer! imagine how much if you buy drinks for two!) it is just a total waste of your money. Cool for dating clueless Dongbeiren in though ;-)

Very Siam is by far the best Thai restaurant in Beijing. Those guys almost don't advertise anywhere, but they yet get their place packed every night. In this particular case, popularity is a proof of continuous quality.

This restaurant has one of the best service in the whole Beijing, and you can feel the management is really professional. Quite many restaurants should seriously study from them because they set the bar high for service quality.

You get authentic Thai food cooked by their Thai chefs. And last thing, you must try their mango juice, it's just memorable!

Their Phad Thai did not let me down. If I ever have the chance to go back there again, I will just order phad thai....(uh, and a cold Horgarden )..... Nothing else... I was presented with a bonnie fish which was quite opposite to what I was told by the staff. And too bad, it was way to lemonnie.... The place was overpacked that night with mixed clientele. So without a reservation, we waited about 20mins for our table at the next door cafe. Still not quite figured out the how such a place can be so popular with Bj's seasoned dinners...
