Located in the historic city center, this humble little restaurant boasts a beautiful courtyard with a tree growing in the middle, and a quaint interior with a nice loft section. The food doesn't rival the city’s best Yunnan restaurants, but there are some very good dishes, including the sour bamboo shoot beef and the Jingpo ghost chicken.
Same as the name, this little Yunnan courtyard restaurant provide authentic tasty Yunnan foods with a cozy friendly atmosphere, perfect for friends gathering, little romantic out eating...located in a well preserve courtyard house on the street of imperial wall remain, Forbidden city, Jingshan park and Houhai is only 10 mins walk away, come here have a dinner first, then head out for tourist stuff or dive in Nanluoguxiang hutong for a booze, by the way, it also serve great home brewed rice wine.
Small World
Located in the historic city center, this humble little restaurant boasts a beautiful courtyard with a tree growing in the middle, and a quaint interior with a nice loft section. The food’s okay, but neither selection nor flavors here rival the city’s best Yunnan restaurants. For example, the “crispy deep-fried fish” (¥48) is a far cry from the Lost Heaven equivalent. There are some nice finds, though. “Jingpo ghost chicken” (¥28) is much spicier than it looks, with a really delicious Southeast Asian flavor. The sour bamboo shoot beef (¥32) is tangy and a little spicy, with tender meat. The “stir-fried potherd with Shiping tofu” (¥28), a simple soup made with slightly smoky tofu, tastes very authentically Yunnanese.
