I've gotten two pieces done at mummy in the past month. I am extremely satisfied, this place is as clean and professional as anything you will find in the US. The 师傅 that work there are extremely well natured and will be sure to spend the time to make sure that you get what you want. One of my pieces was drawn three times before it was what I wanted. On one other review somebody mentioned there rates as being one minute over and charging for the whole hour. I don't think this is actually the case at all, my last piece was at least two and a half hours with a break but I was only charged for the two hours. Oh and Maomao is only 800 an hour compared to Dongdong's 1000. Either are extremely talented and well worth it.

Also they did not charge me for the time spent preparing the drawings, which must have been an hour or two at least.

I am headed back to the US in a few days but I definitely plan on coming back when I return to China.

Remember people you are getting a tattoo that is going to be there FOREVER so you should be willing to pay a couple extra kuai for the work. These guys are very nice, the place is immaculate, and the work is phenomenal!

My tattoo was done there too, back when they were still in the little alley where Golden Elephant used to be. I paid way more than most of my friends for their tattoos, but the quality difference is so obvious, i dont regret it one bit. I don't know what is different with them now, but back then they told me they will only tattoo by appointment a month before hand to avoid spontanious tattoos that you regret. They are very professional, talented and understanding of your needs!

Mummy Tattoo was amazing! It was afternoon when I first time went to Mummy Tattoo When I arrived the studio on time, I got surprised. Sunlight is shining in this studio where resounded with the soft music, and the fancy articles are everywhere. everything looks so different here in Mummy Tattoo. Dongdong(the owner) was tattooing then, the sound of the tattooing sounds so exciting. I waited there for about half hour, another tattooist Maomao was coming, I told him my idea about the tattoo that I want, and Maomao said he will design the pattern firstly, and it will take about 3 days.

Two days later, I got the e-mail from Maomao about confirming the final design.then I could image how the design looks like when it’s on my shoulder.

It is worth to mention that because of my hypoglycemia, I felt dizzy during the operation. But Dongdong immediately asked the staff to give me chocolate, sugar water and coca cola, that’s helped me a lot. Really thanks for their good service.

Disinfection is as important as the tattooist’s skill. Worktable should be disinfected after every use. And I witnessed the whole process of carefully disinfecting and the instrument changing in Mummy Tattoo.
Once you had the tattoo, it is hard to remove, so before the operation get start, make sure you really want to have a tattoo and you really like this design.

2 hours later, the tattoo is finally done. That’s really a excellent job! Maomao is a artist indeed!

The following items you have to pay attention to have tattoo in Mummy Tattoo: 1. Make an appointment. (Normally 15 days in advance) 2. Communicate with the tattooist about the tattoo style, design, location and so on. 3. The design. (The tattooist will confirm the design with customers again and again for get customers’ favorite one)
