A solid favorite for Beijing's less choosy clubbers, this bar has two levels of good time fun, drawing in a predominantly foreign crowd with decent cocktails, happy hour specials, laowai DJs spinning chart dance hits and regular themed parties. In summer the action spills out onto the upstairs patio.

Also, drinks are expensive. It's not worth getting your stuff deposited in at the coat-check because on busy nights there's only one confused taitai working there.. Not worth it.

Too crowded, the only people that ever really go here are desperate under 18s. I had a pretty bad experience here on Halloween '09. Pushy crowds, pushy people, and I was groped by an obese nigerian.. All while this fat slag grinded against my boyfriend.

my new year 00:00spend in this bar WAITing to deposit my belongings! it's a short yet slow line. the crowd is young enough that once I saw an eight year old boy in dancing crowd, lose the appitite soon. it's an energetic place though

I went back here last weekend for the first time in years. I remembered it being pretty sleazy (the reason I stopped going), but nowhere near as bad as it was last weekend. Everyone there was either intensely creepy and ugly or under 18. The drinks are decent, the bartenders are pretty well trained and I've always liked the music. Too bad I couldn't appreciate any of it since everywhere I turned there was a new sleazeball trying to talk to/dance with/sleaze all over me. I'm not huge fan of face control or whatever, but Bar Blu could really use some.

Bar Blu used to be such a nice place to go. Although expensive, their drinks are really good. The last few times i have gone there though, the crowd seemed to consist of creeps and weirdos. Or then it was completely dead... Not really sure what happened there... In fact I dont even know how to rate it. I dont THINK they are doing anything wrong, but i still dont ever feel like going there anymore... bummer....

As long as you don't mind the herds of abroad students grinding on the dance floor, this bar is a lively and fun space with good music and drinks.

I like Blu Bar, but ths music good be improved. Also the drinks are little pricey. But overall, the terrance space upstairs is pretty incredible.

A place to be, this bar is a hop from other bars. Lots of different section, you got the dance floor, the pool, lounge to cool down with friends. I'm guessing the quiz night has been an addiction for Beijingers.

ladies night is thurs. I believe. Had a great time there with my date, she drank her expensive drinks for free all night long and all I had to pay for was my beer. (w00t!)...kind of small, not enough seating, expensive drinks when not on special.

The drinks are pricey, but good. I like the atmosphere of the place. It feels to me the way a classy bar should feel. I would like to go on ladies night. Oh yeah!

Summer Time Well, what can I say... I spent many a day in this place during my stay in Beijing. I found it to be friendly and cosy, and towards the end of the stay, the new roof terrace was completed, which makes an awesome bonus to the place. Just be prepared to climb down those stairs after all your drinking!!!

Bar hoping on saturday night, and we also checked this place. not the first time to this bar, but crowd was under 20. so under control. i think this bar is not so good as it use too
