Though there's sure to be some Abbott and Costello-style hilarity arising from its curious name, this new hutong hideout is a good stab at marrying Chinese antiquity and Mexican flavors. Check out the margarita-style frozen cocktails or just hang out sipping on some premium tequila.
A cozy and intimate bar with a unique atmosphere, BU ZHI DAO is the ideal place for chilling out with friends and enjoying a memorable evening. Spice up your senses with exotic snacks and cool down with a wide selection of foreign and local drinks. BU ZHI DAO, the sassiest Hutong Bar in Beijing.
Mexican Wave
Located in a hutong alongside several hostels, Bu Zhi Dao marries Qing-chic furnishing with Mexican-inspired drinks. The menu is currently limited to liquor (¥25-40), beer (¥25-30) and a small, intriguing selection of blended cocktails made with rum or tequila (¥45). We can see the frozen margarita-esque drinks being popular during the summer. Bu Zhi Dao is a solid little bar with an interesting conceit if they can pull off the Mexican small-bites when the weather warms up. ■ Ami Li
