This no-nonsense tribute to the American bar and bistro boasts a solid menu of foreign beers and wines at reasonable prices, including Stella and Kilkenny on tap. Stop by for a grilled-to-order grinder and web surfing in the day, or join the raucous collection of Shuangjing expats partying here in the evenings.
The Grind House
Set to become a staple of the nascent Shuangjing bar scene, Grinders is a no-nonsense tribute to the American bar and bistro by Fubar’s Chad Lager and his brother-in-law Trevor Metz. The focus is on the sleek, glowing back-lit bar which houses a mean selection of foreign beers (¥10-¥45), with Stella (¥30) and Kilkenny (¥40) on tap. Wines are also a bargain, starting at ¥25 per glass. The bar also serves up a wide selection of American bistro fare, including the signature Grinder subs (¥50-60), which are grilled to order. The airy space is perfect for web surfing in the daytime or meeting friends for drinks in the evening.
