Kai is a node in Sanlitun, drawing in a younger, mainly foreign crowd with RMB10 drinks and a pole in the middle of the dance floor which regularly sees some drunken action. If you're tired of being squished on the small dance floor, then head up to the comfy couches upstairs.

What's that? They're playing all of 'Thriller' AND 'Off the Wall?' I'm so there. The cheap, pre-midnight drinks sure make it that much easier to dance post-midnight to every Michael Jackson song that was ever sung by the King of Pop!
Nothing makes me giddier than seeing my Chinese brothers and sisters getting down to "Billie Jean" and "Rock With You," although deep into the second hour of MJ songs, I was hoping that they'd start mixing it up.
Head upstairs if the dancefloor heat downstairs becomes overbearing. The servers are really amicable and the drinks are well done.The crowd on a Friday night seemed heavy on make-up and cleavage, but the dark mood lighting and plush cushion seating helped to balance it out.
