This Caribbean thatched-roof joint (Beijing's only one) atop Tongli Studios attracts a more mature after-work crowd. The DJ slings steel drum anthems to complement the decent menu featuring jerk chicken and potent tropical potables. The real draw is the patio in summer.

I tried salsa with chips.. goes great with beer - like 10 kuai or so...! And coconut fried shrimps are awsome (dont know how much was that).
i heard they will renovate the first floor, so it will look more like terrace... hmm...
Top club is Kokomo,.. thats just an old name

The rooftop has been enclosed with a canvas top and glass walls, so you can still get your tropical cocktail fix during the winter.

Checked it out on Tuesday, Sangria Night. The place is real nice, especially the enclosed rooftop terrace; cool set-up and easy music. The cocktails are very good, the Sangria is not really worthy trying though. I hope more people start going there, cause at certain point I looked around and I realized I was the only customer.

A great rooftop bar fitting of its name. Although, I went on a very crowded night and it was hard to find a free table and there was no room for dancing. I'm willing to give it another go.

Rooftop bar is fantastic, and I really like that they serve pitchers of Sangria for 98 kuai. I just wish it was pre-prepared so that the fruit soaks up the alcohol properly. Was there the other night for their rooftop opening and the DJ was fantastic, the way a rooftop bar should be. If they keep him I'll be returning all summer long... though I must agree with Collin, what is the food like there?

A very nice bar, pretty good selection of drinks, but the Champagne only comes by the bottle.
True that people went there just for the nice rooftop, great view, breezy wind, so just leave the bar downstairs.
A must go!

Although the owner changes more than I can follow up, the rooftop stays one of my favorites in summer. Rather fair prices (although drink selection is not really top), mostly cool sounds ... but honestly, I mostly feel a little bad being here, when I think about the neighborhood. And: better remember the exact location, than the name of the bar, they will have changed name and owner, until your next visit ;-)

Kokomo is a nice half-outdoor bar with a n ice atmosphere and a fine location on top of China-doll in Sanlitun. It is definitively a sprawlingplace for westerners, for good and bad. I think Kokomo is a neat enough place, but not as good as my friends wanted me to believe. The best part is probably that is is right on top of China-doll, which means you can go down to dance your ass of, and then step upstairs and relax under the sky.
All in all, its fair.

very good bar, good drinks, although most of the times I go there the beer isn't all that cold.
That being said, one of the best places to relax and have a drink with your friends. Good music, and on weekends it's simply packed.

Worst mojito I've ever had. It was so bad I could not even empty the glass. Forget this place.

With great weather, this place is packed on the weekends. But I never see much going on downstairs. Has anyone ever eaten there? What ever happened to Top Club?
