Run by a charismatic local, this eponymous establishment cooks up scrumptious burritos and mouth-watering guacamole. The drinks, from the fruit margaritas to the coffee, are well prepared. Whether going for a breakfast burrito and wi-fi in the morning or quesadillas and tequila shots at 2am, Luga's always satisfies.

Gave this place another chance, but they still didn't improve.
Sat there for half an hour, no one served me, only saw two Chinese guys were making out at the toilet instead working.
People were hired to write good review to make this place famous or they are just lucky enough to see the good side of this restaurant?
Unbelievable!

Such a great place! Luga is the friendliest, most enthusiastic and hospitable owner, and the atmosphere of the place reflects this. A great band was playing covers when I was there last Friday night, and the place was alive with energetic and happy revellers! With food that is great and reasonably priced, Luga's is a sweet hangout spot!

this time, i tried their chili con carne, of course, with double thumb-up! the sour and spicy flavor combining the ground cheese stimulated my taste bud and made my every bite unforgetable.what i must say is the reasonable price at Rmb35 that let you go to enjoy even with shrunk pocket.

continuous two day's lunch at the charming place just as for their attractive mexican style delicacies.cozy brasserie is filled with intimacy between almost everything here and me.the staff is attentive ,actually, very affable to diners.simple decor including daubed wall,a few chairs and tables, various pendants weaved by straw and only one semi-booth.best quesadilla and burrito with generous portions i have had by far in town is provided here, coming again is an absolute worth!

IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO GIVE FREE WATER TO YOUR CUSTOMERS, YOU CAN'T AFFORD YOUR BUSINESS.
when you walk into a restaurant nowadays, you normally get a glass water / tea for FREE if you are going to spend money on food.
This place told me and my friend that they don't have free water for customers, I either pay 10 kuai for a bottle of water (which costs 2 kuai at a store) or I have to go outside to drink my own water. It was freezing cold, and it was nearly 1am, we got this crap from this famous place. Bollocks!
I am not saying bring your own drink or food and have it at the restaurant is right, if you want to avoid this, a glass of free water will help, especially when you can't afford to lose a customer, you surely can afford a free glass of water, as we all know a big bucket of water costs 10-15 kuai in beijing. I don't appreciate this boss' rule (I was told), I don't appreciate this lil waiter who doesn't know anything about customer service and told me they did the same to all the foreigners which neither of us is foreigner. Does this place think we are cheap because we can't afford a 10 kuai water? Or kind of force you to buy a drink when you don't want to have anything alcoholic?
Luga makes me think twice now because it can't offer me a glass of free water when I was waiting for my take away burrito, even though I always went to Luga every time I went to Sanlitun.
Also the waiter lied to us the difference between a small and a large burrito, they are the same to us.
Is this going to make you think of the way of running business? Making good food, earning money won't make you completely successful.

Luga's offers surprisingly great burritos. Actually, they have the best burritos i've tasted in Beijing. And i'm half mexican.

For whatever reason, a night of alcohol and Mexican cuisine are always an amazing combination. Luga's is definitely that place you hit up after stepping out from the club.
As luminouzity already pointed out in the previous post, Luga's can be hard to spot amongst the similar-sized bars and restaurants in the immediate area.
This dive has an excellent selection of burritos. Anyone who has ever enjoyed a burrito from Chipotle back in the United States — and I'm sure there are some reading this right now who take umbrage with the fact that Chipotle is owned by McDonalds — Luga's in Beijing is the closest thing you're going to get to that fully-packed, overstuffed, super-flavorful burrito.

never judge a book by it's cover. i've been passing by this place hundred times but i never think that this is a restaurant. it looks the same like the neighbors small bars.
but a friend took me there and i had one of the best burrito in town, i guess. i ordered the large burrito despite my friend's warning that the large burrito is massive. by the end of our meal, i couldn't get off my chair and keep holding my jeans' button, afraid that it will pop out. i was too full. but GOOD and SATISFYING full. i had to sit there for another 45 minutes until we finally ready to get off of our chairs and hit the bars.
my friend ordered guacamole and it tasted really good too. good price for good food. and yes, good portion too. will definitely come back.

Great nachos, great burritos, great burger with a slab of cheddar (though it's for some reason not on the menu). Much better margaritas than any other Mexican place in sanlitun.

GUACAMOLE, that's what they do right here. Luga prepares the guacamole right at your table, starting with half an avocado, allowing you to customize the garlic, tomato, and spice to your liking, then she mashes everything up for you. Great guac, great portion, and great price. If you're at ya xiu DVD shoppping stop in for a snack.

Nothing wrong with this place in my opinion, never had problems like walkinginthecity experienced. Service was always quick and efficient, they even served us water.
Food is consistently good, especially the burritos. Drinks are cheap and decent. Especially in the summertime Luga's is a good place to start the night.
