Cuban beats amidst the seven seas? At Salsa Caribe dancers groove amidst pirate-themed decor to the live Colombian band. This is one of the few bars in Beijing where the patrons actually know how to dance. Here you can wiggle your hips to steamy salsa beats while Captain Jack watches over his crew.

I love the women at this place! Awesome stage, and the only real wooden dance floor I have found in Beijing. Cheers to this place.

This place gets 3.5 stars, but not quite 4. The music is inconsistent - sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not. When I come with friends, I have a fantastic time dancing the night away. That said, as a girl, this is the only club in Beijing where I've experienced men who think that it's ok to grab my butt when they have no idea who I am, making me very mad and uncomfortable. If this were not China, they probably would have experienced my hand slapping their face. For that reason alone, I'm compelled to take away a few stars.

Beijing nightlife without Salsa Caribe is hard to imagine: Great beats and emotions go high!
To improve they could work on the service attitude of their staff and the rather silly 200RMB rule for orders at a table before 9pm.
Still: this place rocks and is an oasis!
