Best known for their rocking rooftop parties, Migas has opened a dedicated bar downstairs. The Bar offers small nooks and crannies to sit, but the star is the dance floor, where they host some of the best local disco DJs to keep you dancing all night.
Taking over the space next door, with a combination of quality live music on weeknights and Beijing's best underground DJs Thursdays through Saturdays in an artistic setting, The Bar at Migas brings that warm terrace vibe indoors for the winter. Be sure to build up some courage with their special cocktails before getting down on the dance floor!
This Bar Can Party
Weather is no longer an obstacle to Migas’ success as a party space with The Bar, downstairs from their infamous rooftop. The Bar is tucked behind the restaurant, which on opening night turned into a smoky chill-out room. The Bar itself feels third world chic, decked out in found objects like driftwood, steampunk lighting fixtures and a corrugated iron roof over the bar. The serving area in the middle splits the space into cozy nooks, with a larger space near the deck where you can groove along to the city’s disco DJs. Beers are ¥30-50, with mixed drinks for ¥50. ■ Alex Searson
