The futuristic, tactile space startles the senses with sharp angles and glowing floors while ethereal chill-out and trip-hop sound from the DJ booth. Mixed-to-perfection cocktails and infused vodkas—with flavors ranging from cinnamon to lychee—amaze the taste buds as much as the décor does the eyes.

The tactile design and elegant, conceptual execution of Touch, Westin Beijing Chaoyang’s second-story lounge, astounds at every turn. This futuristic space startles the eye with sharp angles and glowing floors backed up by ethereal chill-out and trip-hop. The biggest surprises, however, are left to fingers and tongues. Surfaces within the bar change color when touched. The menu comes bubble-wrapped for your eye-popping enjoyment, and each page has a different texture. We were especially impressed with their vodkas, which Touch has infused with a variety of flavors, including cinnamon, lychee and truffle. The infused vodkas go down suprisingly smoothly when served straight-up. When mixed with tonic or blended in a cocktail, they are divine. The chili vodka cocktail packed a punch yet had a smooth, fruity aftertaste. Along with infused vodkas, Touch also features 88 different vodka brands. “Green hour,” from 9 to 11pm features two-for-one drinks and bottles. Touch is a hotel lounge with a pulse and is a vodka lover’s dream.
