The 1st KTV i visited when i was in Beijing in year 2005. Currently my friends here in Beijing told me that is quite costly comapre to other KTVs. I like the style where u pay by the hours for a room(not by the number of pax) and we get to have buffet style snacks such as the local style soya sauce rice with egg as well as their mini egg tarts plus many others...I spent only RMB100 (on a week end before 8pm)per hour for a room for 5 adults when I was there again in Aug'2007. Maybe if you are having the mindset that u are spending the money on meals and singing.Rooms are decently clean. The place looks grand. Is a MUST to call for reservation.

Amazing selection of English songs, and contrary to previous reviews, you CAN pay for the room per hour instead of per person, IF you tell them that you want to forego the buffet. Also, you're allowed to bring your own alcohol which brings down cost a ton. We rented a room this weekend for 7 people, and 10 people fit, and the room was 190/hour until midnight at which time it switched to 150. So for three hours I paid 80. Not bad eh? Also, reservation is a MUST especially on Friday and weekends. And expect a long wait despite on-time arrival. In the end though, it's worth it!

hey could someone give me the pricelist for chaowai store?? i always go there from midnight to 5/6 AM cos it's the cheapest... i heard that after lunch they have special price too... details pls? and we really can take our own alcohol? last time we were caught having vodka and the waiters asked us not to drink anymore or they would fine us.. ><

They have a good selection of English and Chinese songs. They also have a midnight buffet smorgasbord which is included in the price of the room.
It's a great deal for an all-nighter, but if you are looking for a shorter evening of KTV, it's a little pricey.
