With an 18 meter-long bar, flickering candles, cutting-edge house music and a roof deck overlooking Gongti, this seen-and-be-seen club is the height of Beijing's cocktail culture. From the Ginger Melon Martini to its innovative espuma-based cocktails, Klubb Rouge's attentive bartenders mix some of the city's tastiest (and priciest) cocktails.

Drawing inspiration from some of the world's top clubs, Klubb Rouge brings world class drinks and finesse to Beijing with a sprawling two-floor club and beautiful roof deck, not to mention a 14 meter-long bar.

The Red Carpet
Klubb Rouge strives for cocktail perfection and comes as close to it as any other venue in the city. The gargantuan, 1,500 sq. meter space in the penthouse of the China View building has the class, service and attention to detail of Shanghai’s most upscale cocktail lounge. Hot, red, hand-blown Italian glass shimmers on strings above a 18-meter long bar, candles flicker and house music resonates from the club’s stellar sound system. The cocktails are unparalleled. The sweet raspberry flavor of the Klubb Rouge (RMB80) and the invigorating taste of the Ginger Melon Martini (also RMB80) are mixed to perfection by the club’s well-trained bartenders. A line of espuma-based (a kind of frothy Champagne ice cream) cocktails, such as the Strawbellini, should be available by the time we go to press. Despite its beauty, Klubb Rouge maintains a darker edginess appropriate for Beijing’s artistic urban malaise: Clubbers shuffle over raw floors; the black walls eschew the cheeriness of Shanghai’s Bar Rouge; and the vertigo-inducing roof deck looks out on a gaping construction site. Beijing has never been summed up so elegantly.
