For an authentic taste of Chinese-style clubbing, this tricked-out discotheque's dance floor and VIP KTV rooms are difficult to beat. Here, VJs entertain with eclectic visuals while a fashionable local crowd throws back the green tea and Chivas and fruit plates they need to dance the night away.

As far as Chinese-style nightclubs go, Sanlitun's latest disco is as full of hilarity and hijinks as anything on Gongti.

This Ain’t No Day Club
Night Club is, well, a night club. More specifically, it’s a Chinese-style night club, where waitresses shuttle whiskey, green tea and fruit plates. If you don't walk in prepared to order a bottle of Chivas and a table, you won’t be in your comfort zone. In terms of décor, Night Club is what would happen if a young Buckminster Fuller got tipsy in one of the club's six karaoke rooms and set out to design the place. Yet after slugging back a few YY40 beers (Heineken, Tsing Dao and Tiger are all the same price) and gazing at the fashionable local crowd and the VJ's visual antics (don't be surprised to see dance club scenes from "The Sims" mocking you), Nightclub will convince you that you fit in. Your best bet is to get a table with some hip and alluring locals and embrace nightlife, Chinese-style.
