The Beanstalk family covers three school campuses in Beijing – two BIBS campuses and the BIK. Founded in 1993, Beanstalk has successfully combined affordable tuition, a diverse curriculum and a teaching style that keeps students active all day. The school offers a comprehensive dual curriculum taught in English and Chinese. In 2006 a new campus in the Asian Games Village opened to accommodate students from northern parts of Beijing. Beanstalk provides a stimulating and nurturing environment to help children fulfill their utmost potential. The staff includes educational consultants from Beijing University and Beijing Normal University whle the lead teacher holds a BA from UC Berkeley. The school commits itself to promotion of cultural awareness and building better global citizens. Extracurricular activities include a book club, Chinese chess, Chinese painting, kung fu and Taekondo.
Beanstalk International Bilingual Schools offer a unique bilingual program combining the strengths of Western and Eastern educational philosophies. In the Elementary school 70% of classes are taught in English and 30% are taught in Chinese. They currently accept students from nursery age up to grade ten, and in September 2010 will open grade eleven. BIBS have created a loving, caring and supportive learning environment to foster creativity, drive and a love of learning. They aim not only to instill a passion for academic achievement but also to encourage behavioral and social responsibility. BIBS students are encouraged to embrace multiculturalism and international awareness.
