Shuangjing's only local pizza joint, this nicely decorated restaurant has the makings of a neighborhood anchor. The food is quite heavy, but the appetizers and cocktails are very good. Don't miss the calamari or the deep-fried mozzarella and cheddar balls.
Everything is good about this bar, seriously. It has all the right ingredients - good atmosphere, nice soundtrack, cocktails, interesting crowd, good service and so on.
Considering all that, I was surprised to find out that their delivery is far from perfect. I once ordered a pizza, and it arrived 45 minutes later and cold. Considering that I live in the building just across the street(it's two minute walk, literally)... well, that was disappointing.
I will come back to the bar, but no more delivery for me.
Went there this past weekend for the Slowboat beer deal. The staff were attentive and helpful on how the deal worked. The pizzas were fast and good. First time there and will definitely be back again.
Shuang jing has a few foreign run bars and restaurants but Bang Bang is my favorite. I like that the crowd is a balanced mix of locals and foreigners alike. The food is also really good and the pizza, IMHO, is much better than the Tree’s (and definitely better than Kro’s). It’s clean and run by a pro. They have plenty of seating around the bar and on the first and second floors.

Second Bite Review, December, 2011
With new restaurants opening in the ‘hood, the competition in Shuangjing keeps getting tougher. So to keep regulars happy and attract new customers to this cozy bar and restaurant, Shuangjing staple Bang Bang Pizza came up with a whole new menu. The changes aren’t revolutionary, but Bang Bang is still a solid bet for the Fulicheng set.
Do not skip the starters, because they are amazing. The salt and pepper calamari with spicy and sour dip (¥35) and deep fried mozzarella and cheddar cheese balls (¥35) were our absolute favorites.
Bang Bang continues to offer an impressive variety of pizza, although we’re not sure quite how these pies are an improvement over the original ones. The crust tastes alright, but, like before, it’s quite soft, and it doesn’t hold up well if you take leftover slices home. The meat lover pizza (¥60) with beef, chicken, bacon, sausage and salami is rich in flavor, and a little heavy. We love cheese, but still think there’s a little too much of it on this pie. For now, this remains your best bet for pizza in Shuangjing, but it doesn’t stack up to Gung Ho.
The menu also offers a number of other Western mains. The homemade sausages with creamy mashed potatoes (¥60) come with fluffy, delicious potatoes, but the sausages had a crumbly texture and a strong meaty taste. The sauce on the dish also lacked freshness.
Though not perfect—and unavoidably heavy—the food at Bang Bang still satisfies, and the new appetizers are a great addition. Perfect as bar snacks, they complement what Bang Bang is doing best: drinks. The cocktails here are good and strong. A pool table also adds to the fun neighborhood bar feel.
