This gourmet grocery comes from Shanghai where it is the city's leading grocery retailer. Its first Beijing store, housed in the Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Compound, sells at higher prices than rival chains but the selection is broader. Fresh produce and meat are shipped from their farms down south.

And they have a truly awesome selection of imported meats and cheeses. It's a really classy and well-designed store. City Shop runs a small chain of stores in Shanghai, and as such have quite a few things you can get NOWHERE else in Beijing. Gluten free cereal, Arrowhead mills gluten free cake and pizza mixes, soy flour, organic packaged food, dairy free and kosher ice creams, etc.
