De Run Wu Organic & Natural Store (Buddhist Farm)
HOME DELIVERY: Order by calling or emailing Alison (excellent English), the wife of the farm owner. Delivery days are Monday and Friday. Regular home Delivery option: 4 kg (8 jin) of fresh seasonal vegetables for 80 kwai. Their vegetables, technically, are "Organic in Transition". Although no chemicals are used whatsoever, the land is still within the 3 years transition period before it can be certified organic. However, being Buddhists, not only do they not use pesticides (nor chem. fertilizers, herbicides) at all, they do not control pests by even natural means (such as introducing natural predators) and thereby have a truly harmonious farm.
Small family business, farm consists of 6 greenhouses. Tours (8+ persons) available on request.
De Run Wu store carries many natural health/personal care products (email them for current product list, store map with Chinese, etc). Their products range from organic JUICES, organic food such as: nuts, oils, Jumbo raisins, organic rice, organic soy sauce, sucanat raw sugar, citronella oil.
Personal and household products: handmade soaps, ecologically friendly tea powder dish washing powder, All-natural dish soap/all purpose concentrated cleaner from Germany, candles made from essential oils, not chemical fragrances, imported Burt's Bees lip balm, Jason's brand body lotion and baby sunscreen, etc. Email for current product list if ordering via email, or visit the store.
The bakery/coffee shop next door has all sorts of kid fun stuff, riding toys, a play house, and plenty of space to run in there. Even fresh juice, too. Our kids love to stay there with friends or our ayi and we adults take turns shopping at the Organic store next door.
